Canada Trek

It has long been our ambition to bicycle across Canada and this summer we are determined to do this.

As members of The Caledon Ski Club we have chosen to ride for ALS, Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis- Lou Gehrigs Disease.  We were inspired by Bob MacKenzie one of our coaches, who was a victim of ALS, and by his father-in-law Larry Yeigh.

Bob continued to coach us, as his disease progressed, first using a snowmobile and then video footage.
Larry was a talented Master’s racer who continued to provide energy and support to the ALS Society.
We have learned that Bob’s was only one of numerous   families of friends that have been impacted by this disease.  It is our hope that our efforts will generate sponsorships that will make a meaningful contribution to help alleviate the suffering of current victims ALS and will contribute to the research for prevention and a cure for terrible  condition.
